Koksin ("we", "us", "our") operates a booking platform that connects customers with salons, studios, and home wellness partners across Cambodia. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use koksin.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account information. When you create an account we collect your name, phone number, and email address. Partner accounts also include the business name, location, and business contact details.
- Booking information. Services you book, the staff member you book with, appointment dates and times, deposits paid, and cancellation history.
- Payment information. KHQR / ABA PayWay transaction references and status. We do not store card numbers — payments are processed directly by ABA Bank.
- Device and usage data. Browser type, IP address, pages visited, and actions taken on the platform, used for security and to improve the product.
- Location. Approximate location (when you allow it in the browser) to show nearby salons. You can use the platform without granting location access.
How we use your information
- To create and manage your account and bookings.
- To send appointment confirmations, reminders, and cancellation notices via SMS and email.
- To process payments and deposits, and to handle refunds where applicable.
- To prevent fraud, abuse, and double-bookings.
- To improve our services and develop new features.
- To comply with our legal obligations under Cambodian law.
Sharing with partners
When you book an appointment, we share your name, contact details, booking reference, and the service you booked with the partner you booked with. Partners need this information to prepare for and deliver your appointment. Partners are independent businesses and their handling of your information after the booking is governed by their own practices.
Service providers
We rely on a small number of trusted third parties to operate the platform — payment processing, SMS and email delivery, and cloud hosting. We share only what each provider needs to do its job, and we have agreements in place that require them to protect your information.
How long we keep your information
We keep your account and booking history for as long as your account is active. We retain payment records and SMS dispatch logs for as long as required by Cambodian tax and consumer-protection law. You can request deletion of your account at any time by contacting us — we will remove your personal information except where the law requires us to keep it.
Your choices
- You can review and update your account details from your account page.
- You can opt out of non-essential SMS by contacting us. Transactional messages (booking confirmations, OTPs, cancellations) cannot be turned off while your account is active.
- You can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- You can request that we delete your account.
Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (TLS) and access controls on our databases. No system is perfectly secure, and we encourage you to choose a strong password and to keep your login credentials private.
Children
Koksin is intended for people aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us so we can remove it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will post the updated policy here and update the date at the top of the page. Continued use of the platform after a change means you accept the updated policy.
